Mac Scholarship awarded to James Lemaire

My name is James Lemaire. I have been swimming for 10 years and I loved it very much. Because at each practice there was always the goal to shoot for better times. It was not only a challenge but we get to tan, wear swim suits and meet new people when we go to meets. I swam for ATAC for most of my career and went to senior champs 3 times and swam in the 200 and 100 backstroke, and the 200 butterfly. Other than ATAC, I also swam for Lincoln high school for 4 years. In my senior year I received a scholarship from Thomas university and the Crutchfield foundation. I swam at Thomas university for four years and went to NAIA nationals my sophomore year in the 200, 100 backstroke and the 800 freestyle relay. My Senior year I was Co- Captain and I was selected NAIA champion of character. I Love the Crutchfield’s very much they were always there when I wanted to come by or needed help with anything. I will always keep my swim family in my mind everywhere I go now that my swim days are over and started a new adventure in the US Army.
